Yosemite

So Ansel Adams is one of my favorite photographers, largely because of all the pictures he took in Yosemite. Ever since I discovered my passion for photography and got my DSLR I have been wanting to go there and take pictures. I almost feel like talking photographs in Yosemite is like an initiation into the professional photography world. All this to say that I really enjoyed the experience. I hope you like the results as well.

Photo Shoot with Karen

Karen volunteered to do a photo shoot with me while I practiced different settings and stuff on my camera and try to build up a portfolio. We kind of stumbled upon this place and I am really glad we did. It had some really pretty views and foliage and made for a great place to take photos.

This is my latest photo project. I had a lot of fun taking these photos. I definitely got a lot of weird looks but that's ok. Its all in the name of art :)

Inspired by Imogen Cunningham

I recently went to the Oceanside Museum of the Arts to see a "Botanicals" photo exhibit featuring Imogen Cunningham. She takes a lot of close up pictures of plants and I ended up really liking her style. I feel like I have a similar style and seeing her work inspired me to take more pictures of my own. I took these pictures less than a block away from the museum.
