Robert Frank - Photo III

Yesterday I went to the Getty Center. In the photo exhibit I saw one of Robert Frank's photos from "The Americans." I was extremely excited to see this photograph because I did a project on that photo. I talked a little bit about the history of that photo, but talked a lot about the compositional elements. It was really cool to see that photo in person. It also made me want to look at more of his photos, specifically from that series. I find that series fascinating and really want to own the book. 

The Getty - Photo III

Today I went to the Getty Center with some friends and made sure to bring my camera along. Museums sometimes have some really cool photo opportunities! I have been to the Getty several times, but had not been until the gardens until today. The gardens are very pretty and pretty relaxing for the amount of people going through them. I really enjoyed it.

I really want to try to get into rain photography. I think when I move to Seattle I will have some awesome opportunities.

August Sander Occupation Photography - Photo III

I saw a show a long time ago with just simple portraits of people in their work uniform. I loved the show and have wanted to do a photo shoot like that ever since then.

I found just a couple photos from August Sander's Occupation series. I am not sure if these are the same photos I saw before, but they have a similar feel.
