Personal Branding - Photo III

Branding yourself is always a daunting task and often changes frequently. This past summer I got closer to a brand for myself that I enjoy, but I am still thinking of changing it. I want to incorporate water somehow, but I think that the way I did before is not the right way. I want to use water pictures instead to also showcase my photography skills. Here are some pictures I looked at for inspiration.

Project Ideas - Photography III

For my next project we have to create a narrative with one image. I want to take a picture of my dad working on a car. I think that the grungy-ness of a mechanic's shop can make an interesting picture and an interesting narrative. 

Robert Frank - Photo III

Yesterday I went to the Getty Center. In the photo exhibit I saw one of Robert Frank's photos from "The Americans." I was extremely excited to see this photograph because I did a project on that photo. I talked a little bit about the history of that photo, but talked a lot about the compositional elements. It was really cool to see that photo in person. It also made me want to look at more of his photos, specifically from that series. I find that series fascinating and really want to own the book. 

The Getty - Photo III

Today I went to the Getty Center with some friends and made sure to bring my camera along. Museums sometimes have some really cool photo opportunities! I have been to the Getty several times, but had not been until the gardens until today. The gardens are very pretty and pretty relaxing for the amount of people going through them. I really enjoyed it.
